Jace and I had our first nights out this week. On Thursday we did what turned out to be a trial run in our neighborhood. Two friends watched Lauren and 6 mo. old Brooks at our house while we and Brook's parents went to dinner at
Adobo restaurant up the street. Then on Sunday night,
Jace and I drove up to Highland Park to
Pogany's house and dropped Lauren off for an evening of fun with Rachel and Ian (2yrs 9mo and 1 yr respectively).
Jace and Liz then headed to
Ravinia for an evening of fun with adults. We had dinner at the newly renovated restaurant building and then saw two Portuguese singers perform. On both evening the report was that Lauren prefers to be held instead of sleeping in her crib or her car seat (but we already knew that). But she is pretty cute, so I think we might get our friends to sit for us again in the future. Here is a pic of Lauren in her pretty pink dress with mommy (pay no attention to the drool).
