This isn't a new photo.  But it's been so long since I posted anything, I decided something would be better than nothing.  Actually, I got a new laptop and I decided this would be a good way to test it out -- and a good incentive to get all my old files transferred over.

I took this photo in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.  It's been at least three years ago, and I can't really recall much about it.  Then again, I don't guess there is much reason to recall since the photo itself is fairly cliché and uninspired.  I guess I deserve "points" for color, technical execution, and a schlepping all that photo gear through boggy conditions.

This was the first trip where I tried-out my new Canon 17-40L lens -- a lens that's been everywhere with me since.  It's sturdy and produces great shots -- but then again, anyone researching on the web knows all about the merits of this lens by now.
