Photography : Photo Of The Week : #19 10.19.2001

This photo was taken on Dawson Lake, in a patch of Golden Rod on the back side of the dam.

The picture speaks for itself, I suppose.  It's nothing stellar, but it's been a while since I'm long over-due fro a photo.  The shot would have been better with the right equipment -- like the macro lens that's designed for my camera -- but I don't do enough macro photography to justify the $500+ cost of the lens.  It was also windy that day, which prevented me from getting a really great level of detail on the shot.  As it was, I was holding the stem to keep this plant still enough.  And since I'm allergic to insect stings, I figured this was as much work as I wanted to do.
