This photo was taken in the mountains surrounding in Wisconsin -- a frozen lake, nonetheless.
I have to admit that I think I botched the composition of this shot.
Originally, the shot was intended to be 180-degrees, with the leaf pointing
upwards. But I just couldn't get it to look good. Up, down, left,
right ... nothing quite worked. I finally settled on this orientation. My
biggest problem is that I lopped-off the end of the stem when I took the shot.
That really limited my ability to create a "balanced" image that had an equal
amount of ice all the way around.
