This photo was taken in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. The entire "state" is
full of waterfalls and beautiful coastline. I suppose it's the price they
pay for the icy depression that visits each Winter.
The UP is a photographer's paradise. Waterfalls, shoreline,
lighthouses, migrating Monarch butterflies, and incredible fall color are at the
waiting. This definitely won't be my last trip there.
I don't think this photo is my best work. The exposure isn't great, and the composition
isn't very strong. But the mood is pretty good. I think it feels
fresh and lush -- restorative.
