Chicago South-Side St. Patrick's Day
I admit, I don't make it to Chicago's South Side much.
In fact, this is my first time to ever be further south than the White Sox at Comiskey. But the South Side Parade is a bit of a tradition in Chicago,
and so I made the trek. From downtown, it was about 40 minutes to the end
of the el line, followed by 45 minutes by bus. I have to admit, they
have a pretty good promotional machine going here -- there are some nice
neighborhoods tucked into the South Side, and I'd never have known it, had it
not been for the parade.
Photographic Note: This is my first day of shooting with my new Canon
digital. Some of the photos are a little soft, but that's not necessarily the camera. I'm not yet
comfortable enough with the camera to pay full attention to the auto-focus it's
attaining.
Camera: Canon 10D with Canon 75-300mm f/4.0-5.6 EF IS.
