Fall in Illinois
Morton Arboretum Lisle, IL
These shots were taken at the Morton Arboretum in mid-October.
I'm not sure I could pick a favorite among the shots. I'm happy with
almost all of them in this album. These shots were taken on an overcast Saturday morning.
The only real challenge I had with this album was deciding how much sharpening
to apply in Photoshop. The close-up leaf shots seemed to benefit from a
little extra sharpening. But the rest of the shots tended to loose their
"mystique" when I attempted to sharpen them.
What you see here are the best of 106 shots I took. The remainder have
been banished into digital desolation; doomed to a solitary and eternal existence on
my hard drive.
Additional information about the opening photo of the album, including details about how the
image was processed, are available in the
Photo of the Week
section of the site.
These shots were taken with the assistance of my friend and mentor, Ginger Hauck.
