Monument Valley Navajo Reservation, Arizona These photos come from my hiking trip through the "Desert Southwest" in Utah and Arizona. These were taken while hiking the buttes in the Monument Valley. I'm still blown away by how each location I visited -- while only a couple hundred miles from the last -- held it's own unique landscape. In this case, Monument Valley is dominated by large sandstone buttes, and vast areas of desert sand.
