OP/TECH USA Camera Strap
One less pain in the neck.

The straps that come bundled with most cameras are pretty lame.  Usually, they are just a thin strap of nylon with the manufacturers logo emblazoned on them.  Even when fitted with a relatively light camera, neck fatigue sets in quickly.  My first attempt at a solution was a wider, sturdier strap; similar to what I've seen most photographers use.  While in a trip in Peru, a street vendor custom-wove one to a length that was well-suited for my height.  That helped some.  The strap no longer ground into my skin, but I still felt the full weight of the camera bearing down on my neck.  The new strap was also bulkier, so I had to make room for it in my bag.

Then, I happened upon the OP/TECH USA strap at the local Wolf Camera.  We've been blissful friends for the three years since.  The intelligent design of the strap distributes the weight onto my shoulders.  The cushy neoprene foam means I never feel the strap digging into my skin.  The rubberized studs on the underside of the foam keep the strap firmly in place -- no sliding from side to side.  I no longer feel the weight of the camera on my neck.  I routinely carry my camera for hours, with no fatigue.  The strap has held-up well to three years of active use.  The nylon webbing is very sturdy, and the stitching very strong.

The strap also includes quick-release clasps, though I seldom use them.  The OP/TECH weighs about 3oz (100 grams).
